Construction Specialties Inc. has fully designed Explovent in accordance with industry wide standards and is fully code-compliant, meeting OSHA requirements set by the U.S Department of Labor.
Member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
The Explovent system has been designated to meet NFPA code requirements, specifically meeting NFPA 68 Guides for Venting and Deflagration. Explovent panels are designed to be lightweight (2.5 lb/ft2 or less) for quick response, and are equipped with a calibrated release mechanism and cable restraints.
FM Approval/Testing
The Factory Mutual Research Corporation has granted approval of Explovent for use in damage limiting construction. Insurance companies offer discounts to companies who provide tested and approved products on their buildings.
